Footnotes is a family owned shoe business dating back to 1946. Stanley and Peggy Hausman opened the original Footnotes shoe store in Montclair, New Jersey. Bruce and Barbara Hausman took the business over after working at the store throughout high school and college. They learned the art of shoemaking as well as the importance of customer service. Marc Hausman, the third generation of Hausmans, has taken over the business alongside with Bruce and Barbara to continue on the tradition.

Footnotes shoes have 2 locations in New Jersey. Millburn, and Englewood, NJ have been flourishing in business for many years and have been remodeled as recently as 2016. Footnotes.com began in 2001 and has been shipping shoes around the United States ever since. We love the fact that women from all over the country can enjoy the selection brought to the Footnotes stores by their wonderful buyers.
